SOBRE O PROJETO
Uivo, baseado no poema homônimo de Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997), do livro Howl And Other Poems de 1956, é um livro-objeto norteado pelo conceito de livro de artista, cujas possibilidades de abordagem conferem ao projeto a autonomia necessária para anular o tradicional formato códice e permitem um trabalho livremente autoral.
Com a intenção de capturar o ritmo sonoro e a verborragia pelos quais o poema é conhecido, é sugerida a ideia da leitura contínua do texto, impresso em uma única fita, e o contraste entre o interior e o exterior da caixa - silenciosa e contida em um primeiro momento com sua capa sintética, mas esparramada e randômica com a abertura dos pop-ups das faces do cubo.
A proposta de interpretação das possíveis relações simbólicas e significados do poema se apoia na pesquisa sobre o contexto histórico com seus conflitos sociais, na própria mitologia em torno de Ginsberg e do que ficou conhecido como movimento Beat, com sua cultuada atmosfera de experimentação - seja propriamente a renovação literária, seja a alteração de estados de consciência por meio das drogas, ou a despudorada experimentação sexual - e a negação aos padrões conservadores.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Uivo (Howl), based on the homonymous Allen Ginsberg's (1926-1997) poem of 1956's book Howl And Other Poems, is a book-object guided by the concept of artist book, whose approach possibilities gives to the project necessary autonomy to cancel the traditional codex format and it allows a freely authorial work.
In order to capture the resonant rhythm and the verbiage by which the poem is known is suggested the idea of the continuous reading of the text, printed on a single ribbon, and the contrast between the interior and the exterior of the box - quiet and restrained initially with synthetic cover, but spread and random at the opening of profuse pop-ups of the cube's faces.
The proposal of interpretation about the possible symbolic relationships and meanings of the poem lean on research about the historical context with social conflicts of it, on own mythology around Ginsberg and what became known as the Beat movement, with its worshiped atmosphere of experimentation - properly the literary renewal, the alteration in states of conscience through the drugs, the impudent sexual experimentation - and the denial to the conservative standards.
